The process of rewiring a house is quite in-depth and would involve stripping out all accessible old wiring, fixtures and fittings and replacing with modern equivalents. It will require moving furniture around, lifting carpets and floorboards, chasing out walls and wiring new cabling under floors and into walls. Any chases or holes will be filled ready for plastering and/or decorative works to be undertaken. On completion of works at the end of each day, we will always ensure to leave your home tidy, including carpets back down and any mess cleared away.
We can then proceed with the connecting up of the new consumer unit and would fit an 18th edition fully compliant unit with surge protective device to protect your home and electrical appliances in the best way possible. The installation will then be fully tested and we will issue you with your electrical certification and local authority building control notification as we are permitted to do so by the NICEIC, our governing body.
